Exhibitor comments (Visitor comments)

"Over the years, I have attended, even been involved, in the organisation of various trade shows and media promotional activities in my career. If I may say how impressed I was at your show, its level of vibrant and interesting content, the on-going programme of continuous presentations, shows, demonstrations, never a dull moment either." Bernard Lockett, author

"A big ‘thank you’ from all of us! The organisation ran like clockwork and we came away from the show planning for next year." Caroline Hull, Girlings

"Well done for staging an excellent show, we enjoyed ourselves and were pleased with the volume and quality of visitors interested in our products."
Simon Martyr, Wentworth Wooden Jigsaws

"Many people visited our stand and were very interested in our products. It was an ideal age group as our products suit the retirement sector very well. It was lovely to have so many people say they had considered buying a caravan but didn't really know how to go about it!" Christine Morgan, Park Resorts

"The Show was great!  I want to be in next year's show in London. We had a steady stream of visitors and it was certainly worth the investment for us.  I would be very happy for you to quote me on being a satisfied stand holder.  Feedback from visitors about the show was also very positive.  Very good, very interesting, very useful." Lynne Nesbit, The Brooke

"I just wanted to say thank you so much for all your help at the event. It was truly a great exhibition and I think the two day event was a success. Keep us in mind for any future events." Tamara Matthews, Bowel Cancer UK

"Well done, and I think the show went very well indeed - administratively your team served us well and I got all that I paid for. Attendances seemed good and we were busy. Overall we enjoyed it and felt it to be very worthwhile." Jeremy Clare, Whatever Next...?

"I am happy to say that we did enjoy exhibiting at the recent show and found the whole event to be worthwhile. I will certainly be considering next year's show in London. The organisation was very good. I feel that visitors to this kind of show benefit from having smaller organisations exhibiting as the welcome and overall service they receive is often far more personal - this has to be good from your point of view as organisers." Tim Botting, Premier Cruise Club

"We thought the show was a great way to show the public our service. We were very impressed with the show. We thought our busier day was Saturday: there seemed to be more people attending the event. We will definitely be attending the event in Manchester." Pat Stubbs, Pension Tracing Team

"We were very pleased with the show and would go as far as to say it was the best show we've done. We were too busy to spend as much time as we would have liked visiting the other stands and attractions. Thanks again for a great show." Philip Hann, Retirement Today Magazine

This was by far the most fulfilling event I have been to - probably because of the target audience of people in the 50 plus age range. The panel discussion I took part in was extremely productive for us. We were understaffed on the stand to cope with the volume of enquiries. We will definitely go again to this event in London, and to the events in Manchester and Glasgow. Malcolm McLean, Chief Executive, The Pensions Advisory Service

"Attending the Retirement Show raises awareness of Living Streets...
Work should have been the last thing on the minds of those visiting the Retirement Show at Olympia in London on Friday 13th and Saturday 14th July. But there was a fantastic level of interest shown in Living Streets' work - to the delight of the team staffing the Living Streets' stand.

It was clear from the number of people visiting the stand and the number of in-depth conversations the staff team had with visitors, that the general public agreed with our agenda for better streets and public spaces for people on foot. Many hundreds of people took literature away to read and vowed to look at our website for more details.

Almost 150 people pledged their support to our Green Man Campaign (calling for green man crossings on every arm of every junction that has traffic lights) by signing our petition, which will be presented by London Assembly members to the Mayor in the Autumn. Residents from almost every Borough in London signed up highlighting the widespread nature of this problem. The petition was also signed by comedian and TV presenter Hardeep Singh Kohli.

Over 100 people listened to our two Seminar Talks on the health benefits of walking and more than 80 people were keen to continue to receive news from Living Streets. In addition, we secured some strong contacts for case studies, establishing new local branches and the further promotion of our work.

Tom Franklin, Living Streets' Chief Executive, said, "This is the first time that Living Streets has attended such an event and it proved a great way to engage with the public and explain how our work makes a difference. Many people who have retirement in mind are also looking for ways to take part in charity work and to give something back to their local communities; getting involved with Living Streets is a brilliant way to do both! We were delighted at the positive response to our aims and our campaigns and urge people to continue to help us spread the word about the work of Living Streets!"
