Visitors at The Retirement Show hugely enjoy the whole day of
informative and fun seminars that take place in dedicated, sound-insulated
areas. There are also demonstrations and plenty of audience participation
events taking place throughout the day. The show is action-packed
from start to finish, with something that everyone will enjoy. Click

The main features will include the following exciting sessions:
COOKERY DEMONSTRATIONS - LIVE!
Learn to soufflé like a pro. Our celebrity chef Alex Mackay
(from the BBC’s Ready Steady Cook) dazzles visitors with
his culinary skills and with mouth-watering aromas. Shows take
place in a custom-built kitchen area, allowing maximum participation,
and the chance to chat to Alex as he cooks.
GARDENING QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Where a panel of experts - led by famous horticulturalist Roddy
Llewellyn - will answer your horticultural questions, and will
try to solve any gardening problems. Set in the midst of lush
foliage and exotic greenery, it’s one of our most popular
features!
THE RETIREMENT SHOW BALLROOM
Not just demonstrations of Ballroom/Ceroc/Tango by a professional
dancing school, but opportunities for our visitors to take part
- hosted by legendary radio megastar David Jacobs. Also includes
have-a-go T’ai Chi.
FANTASTIC FASHION AT 50
The Retirement Show fashion spectacular (sponsored by M&S in
2007) will take place in 2008 on its own purpose-built raised catwalk,
featuring shows throughout the day. Our top draw!
THE RETIREMENT SHOW MAKEOVER ZONE
Following visitor requests at the launch show in London, in 2008
we will stage a makeover event at each venue. Don’t just
watch the professionals - take part!
